Satyak is doctor-led. Our founders are doctors, and medical care is part of every resident’s day.
Doctors
Dr. Ninad Baste, a psychiatrist and dementia care consultant, visits Satyak on all working days and supervises the health of the residents. A team of experienced physicians also visits as needed. They look after:
- Follow-ups for residents discharged from hospital
- General physical assessments
- Psychological assessment and counselling
Nursing
Our nurses are on duty day and night. They take care of:
Daily Care
- Medicine rounds and follow-ups
- First aid
Wound and Skin Care
- Wound dressing
- Bed sore prevention and management
Feeding and Continence
- Nasogastric (NG) tube feeding
- Urinary catheter care (Foley’s catheterisation)
Monitoring
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Blood sugar checks
Medication
- Insulin administration
- Giving and recording all prescribed medicines
Attendants
Attendants are your parent’s everyday point of contact. They help with bathing, grooming, dressing, diaper changes, oral care, feeding, using the commode or bedpan, getting out of bed and turning in bed to prevent bed sores. They also keep residents company and notice changes in health or mood.

Our nurses give first aid straight away and contact the doctor. If hospital care is needed, we arrange the transfer and call the family.
